BS arguments I hear often

This is a list of laughable arguments I hear too often. While my background is software engineering, I believe that these are quite common at any fields.

I don’t believe there’s a need to clarify why they’re poor arguments, but I may rant about each one whenever I feel like doing it.

This practice is great, you are just doing it wrong

We’ve tried it in the past, it doesn’t work

It feels good for me, therefore it’s good

This respectable person said it, therefore it’s good

Everyone is doing it, therefore it’s good

I’m not used to this, so it’s not good to use it

This approach doesn’t suit an specific situation, therefore it’s bad

You’ve made two errors last week, therefore your opinion on the matter is not valid
